Athletic Department NewsDave Geringer [Contact] Tyler Buck is Little East Co-Men's Track Athlete of the Week1/19/2009NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Senior Tyler Buck (Valley Center, CA/Valley Center HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's basketball team has been honored by the Little East Conference. Buck has been named Little East Conference co-Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week. Buck made his spring semester debut at the Sorlien Invitational at the University of Rhode Island on Saturday, finishing fourth at 800 meters in 1:59.33. The performance qualified him for the New England Division III Championships. "I'm very proud of Tyler," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Steve Gardiner. "He's worked very hard to get to this point, and he's just beginning to scratch the surface of where he's going to be before the season is over.
