The Intramural program here at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth presents a variety of athletic and wellness activities for students, faculty, and staff. The number of programs offered has grown significantly, especially with the increasing resident population on campus. We are proud to continue to offer all activities free of charge. For this academic year we have activities six days a week and our numbers continue to grow.
The 2009-2010 intramural staff is dedicated to providing a wholesome and fun atmosphere for all its participants. The staff is hired based on maturity, knowledge of the sport or activity, and a willingness to provide and nurture a fun atmosphere. CURRENT NEWS:
WELCOME BACK!!
Hi everyone. We all hope that you enjoyed your nice, long winter break and are now getting back into the swing of UMD! We know we are, and we are also ready to get back to running intramural sports the way we always have been, which is with fun and safety at the same time. As you may or may not know we are adding some different sports to the list because it is the spring semester. Along with our usual list that includes basketball and volleyball, we are adding softball and possibly even water polo!! More information on that will be coming very soon so stayed tuned. Remeber that this the is site for ALL of your UMD Intramural needs. If you ever have any questions just remember that all the contact info that you would need is on this website, so don't hesitate to call or email us. We are always happy to answer any questions that you may have. Thanks and have a great 2nd semester!!

02/16/2010 - Contact Info Cards: This a reminder to ALL intramural employees that Mr. Jennings wants updated contact info cards for ALL employee members. This request was emailed to everyone weeks ago and only few have come through. If you get this and you have not done this yet please do it ASAP!! If you have already done it, then disregard this message. Thanks alot. ~ Intramural Office
02/19/2010 - Sport Schedules: The intramural office would like to remind all employees in charge of running an intramural sports to stick with the schedule for the sports. There have been some cases where staff members would try to start the sport early and ended up interrupting a team practice, so it is important to wait until your time arrives. Now if you happen to notice that gym is open early feel free to set up early, but only under those circumstances. Thank you very much. ~ Intramural Office
02/23/2010 - New Payroll Procedures: The university has created a new payroll procedure for student employees. The point of the plan is to have student employees assume responsibilities for entering their own time. To get all of our employees familiar with this please go to Mr. Jennings' office to get a handbook about program and to sign a sheet saying that u received it so we know that you got it. We ask that you do this by the end of the week so that we can implement this new procedure ASAP. Thanks alot. ~ Intramural Office.
03/03/2010 - Handbook: If you have not been checking your emails then you may not be aware that you need to go to Mr. Jennings' office to get a handbook about the new procedures for payroll. You have until the end of this week to do so as he will be using this new system as of next week. Please make sure that you are aware of this because it could be the difference between being paid and not being paid. Thanks alot. ~ Intramural Office.
03/10/2010 - System in Place: The new payroll system is now up and running for us so please make sure you are logging your hours in the book in Mr. Jennings office by noon on Friday's. Thanks a lot. ~ Intramural Office.
