NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth sailing team competed at two regattas this past weekend, placing 16th at the Boston Harbor Invitational and sixth at the Donaghy Bowl.
Kelsey Delosh and Kelsey Martins led the Corsairs to a 16th place finish in the A Division at the Boston Harbor Invitational. UMass Dartmouth's lead duo turned in their best performance in the eighth race, placing 12th. Julia Trudel and Bailey Rice represented the Corsairs in the B Division. The sophomore combination covered the course in 15th place in five of the nine races.
Tufts University captured the team title with 68 points, followed by Dartmouth College (74) and Boston College (75).
Trudel and Rice also lead UMass Dartmouth to a sixth place finish at the Donaghy Bowl on Sunday afternoon. The Corsairs finished fifth in the A Division, while placing sixth in the B Division.
UMass Dartmouth will return to action on Sept. 28, when the Corsairs compete at the Commonwealth Invitational in Buzzards Bay, Mass.
