DORCHESTER, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth sailing team placed seventh this afternoon at the Boston College Invitational, hosted by the Savin Hill Yacht Club.
Boston College captured the team title with 54 points, followed by Salve Regina (133) and Harvard University (160).
In the "B" Division, freshman skipper Kelsey DeLosh (Boston, Mass,) with crew Hanna Desilets (Little Compton, R.I.) finished fourth in Race No. 11 of the 12-race format.
Sophomore skipper Kelsey Martins (New Bedford, Mass.) with crew Emily Doiron (Arlington, Mass.) produced a fifth place result in Race No. 11 in the "A" Division.
Over the course of the two-day event, freshman skipper Hannah Baker (Harwich, Mass.) with crew Courtney Grippin (Wilbraham, Mass.) had their best competitive outing of the season. Newcomer Janelle Hall (Attleboro, Mass.) and freshman Angelica Brewer (Malden, Mass.) sailed well in Saturday's event program.
UMass Dartmouth will return to action on Saturday, April 19, when the Corsairs travel to Newport, R.I. for the 22nd O'Toole Trophy.
