MINNEAPOLIS, MN-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's basketball team moved up two spots this week in the latest men's basketball poll, improving to 15th nationally. They also moved up one spot in the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Rankings, going from third to second.

The rankings were released before the Corsairs fell to Rhode Island College last night. UMass Dartmouth is 19-3 and 9-2 in the Little East Conference with three regular season games remaining. RIC is ranked 25th nationally and fifth regionally this week. The regional poll is used by the NCAA Division III Basketball Committee to make selections for the NCAA Division III Championships.

The Corsairs will return to action Saturday when they host Eastern Connecticut State in the second game of an LEC doubleheader.
