NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-A member of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's basketball team has received a pair of post-season honors.

Senior forward Brandon Stephens (Dorchester, MA/Newton North HS), who recently concluded his senior season at UMass Dartmouth, will play in this weekend's National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III All-Star Game. He also has been named s Northeast Region fourth team All-Star by d3hoops.com.

Stephens was in the running for one of two at-large berths in the All-Star Game when he finished third in the fan voting. He was invited last weekend.

"I was told that even if Brandon didn't come in first or second in the voting, there was a chance he could be selected for the game, because some of the teams that have all-stars are playing in the Final Four," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Brian Baptiste. "It's great, Brandon had a good senior season, he did a nice job for us for four years, and it's a nice way to cap off his career at UMass Dartmouth."

The NABC All-Star Game is played at the Civic Center in Salem, VA prior to the NCAA Division III championship game. It replaced the third place game a few years ago.
