NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's football team will be hosting a special event Saturday.
The Corsairs will host an NCAA sponsored event called "Take a Kid to a Game" when they host Curry Saturday on Senior Day.
The NCAA program, which is in its 17th year, provides NCAA member institutions with an opportunity for community outreach as it introduces area youngsters to athletics programs, and the college or university itself, while also boosting attendance at football events.
Saturday's event will feature the Sakonnet Schooners from Tiverton, RI. They will have a skills competition at halftime, and be able to meet and greet the UMass Dartmouth players before the game. Children of any age are encouraged to wear their football jerseys to the game.
The game against Curry will kick off at 12 noon Saturday at Cressy Field and is the final home game of the season.
