Football Looks for Good Start

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's football team hopes to get off to a good start when they host Fitchburg State in their 2010 opener Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 12 noon at Cressy Field. "This is huge for us, we haven't won a game since last October, and we need to win," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Mark Robichaud. Football Helmet Earns National Honors

The season has not yet begun, but the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's football team has already received national recognition. The Corsair helmet has been featured as one of the top 20 Division III helmets in the nation by Ed Wozniak on the Balladeer's Blog. The feature is entitled "The 20 Coolest Football Helmets in NCAA Division 3." UMass Dartmouth is ranked 15th on the list.
