For the Corsairs, senior Kevin Rewinski (West Springfield, MA/West Springfield HS) led the way with a two-over-par 73 and a two-day total of 149. Junior Brendan Kelleher (Hopedale, MA/Hopedale HS) was one of three Corsairs who shot a 75 and finished with a score of 147, junior Brandon Oldham (Mattapoisett, MA/Old Rochester Regional HS) shot 75-151, junior Matt Connolly (Lynnfield, MA/Lynnfield HS) came in at 75-152, and senior George Gillmore (Cotuit, MA/Barnstable HS/Fairfield) shot 79-159.
"Some of the golf that was played out there today was pretty impressive," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Joel Baptista. "I couldn't be happier with the way we performed this weekend. This was a course that you could score low on, and you needed to make some birdies and some putts. Brendan Kelleher had a great tournament, Kevin Rewinski played very well, and Matt Connolly played well on the back nine A fourth place finish is nothing to be ashamed about, it's a huge confidence boost looking ahead to the conference championships.".
The Corsairs will travel to the Johnson and Wales Invitational this weekend.
