BANGOR, Maine – Senior Jared Fadding (Lenox, Mass.) topped the leaderboard for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for the second-straight week, tying for sixth individually as the Corsairs gathered a fourth-place team finish at the Husson Invitational.

How it Happened
Fadding was one of just five players to shoot par or better on Saturday's first round at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course. He fired a round of 71 (E) to tie for third after the opening 18 holes. Also registering sub-80 scores on the round were seniors Nick Lombardo (Medway, Mass.) and Ben Bedarian (Franklin, Mass.), both registering scores of 76 (+5), and senior Bryce Mitchell (Greenwich, Conn.) at 78 (+7). Lombardo and Bedarian sat tied for 12th following Saturday, with Mitchell tied for 20th.
After closing his first day with an 82, junior Austin Alves (Rochester, Mass.) rebounded in a big way on Sunday, leading the Corsairs into the clubhouse with a team-best score of 75 (+4) after shaving seven strokes off his first round. Fadding was close behind at 76 (+5), ending the tournament with a team-best 147.
Bedarian wrapped up the second day with an 81, as he and Alves tied for 18th individually at 157. Mitchell also turned in a round of 81 on Sunday, finishing 25th (159), with Lombardo shooting 82 to tie for 20th (158).
Inside the Numbers
- Husson's A team took the title at its own event, closing the Invitational at 568 for an even two-round total.
- The Eagles boasted the event's top two individual finishers in Gavin Dugas (-7) and Daulton Wickenden (-1).
