"I was proud of our performance today," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Joel Baptista. "We have had too good weeks of practice, and it was very windy today, and we played well for our first venture into competition. Nick played very well, he is quietly becoming a team leader. He started six over on the first three holes and played at even par the rest of the way, which shows a great level of maturity. We also had nice efforts from Joe Connor and Scott Woodacre, Hopefully, tomorrow we can do a little better and finish up strong."
The tournament will conclude Sunday.
