The Corsairs finished three strokes behind Worcester State and a shot ahead of Johnson & Wales. Salem State finished first with a two-day total of 621.
For UMass Dartmouth, freshman Nick Jagoe (Westport, MA/Westport HS) shot a 78 for a two-day total of 156 and finished eighth. Senior Rob Leaver (Lakeville, MA/Apponequet HS) shot a 79 for a total of 162 and tied for 20th, freshman Joe Connor (Lakeville, MA/Apponequet HS) shot an 86 for 166 and tied for 29th, junior Scott Woodacre (Westborough, MA/Westborough HS) shot an 87 for 170 and tied for 38th, and senior John Ripp (Bolton, CT/East Catholic HS) shot an 86 for 171 and was 42nd.
"We're disappointed that we took a step backward today with our team score," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Joel Baptista. "We left a lot of shots out on the golf course. We need to work on our course management. The play of Nick Jagoe was a bright spot. We'll get back to practice this week, and, hopefully put together two good rounds at our home tournament."
The Corsairs will host the Hampton Inn Classic at the Allendale Country Club Friday and Saturday.
