"The wind wr4eaked havoc out there, there were some tough pin placements, and the course played difficult," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Joel Baptista. "For our team to be in third place with such a strong field is a nice surprise, Matt Connolly, in his first collegiate start, had an excellent round. He started with a triple bogey and a double bogey. An 82 in today's conditions would have been a great start, but an 82 with that start was even more impressive. There were a number of good rounds throughout the field. The round of 318 by Elms was phenomenal, considering the conditions. We're in a good spot, our tem knows they can shoot a much better score on their home course."
The tournament will conclude Sunday..
