"I think the teams in front of us opened the door, and we failed to walk through it," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Joel Baptista. "We had opportunities that we didn't cash in on. You always hope to play a little bit better on your home course, but overall, finishing third in a strong field is a job well done and we'll get back to practice Monday and get ready for the rest of the season and for nationals. Individually, Nick had a good tournament for us and, with the exception of a couple of holes, John Coucci played really well both days. We would like to thank the Allendale Country Club for hosting a great collegiate event, and the Hampton Inn of Westport for sponsoring the tournament."

The Corsairs will return to action when they visit Western New England Thursday.
