John Rolli Position: Head Coach

During his 27 seasons as head ice hockey coach at UMass Dartmouth, Coach John Rolli's teams have put together an unprecedented record of accomplishment in New England and NCAA collegiate ice hockey. Rolli's career record at UMass Dartmouth - 529-158-25 (.762) - is the highest winning percentage of any college hockey coach in the country for all divisions.

Entering the 2011-12 season, Rolli is top-rranked seventh among all active college hockey coaches in terms of winning percentage. He is ranked seventh among all active coaches with his 529 career wins and third within the NCAA Division III ranks, behind Mike McShane at Norwich and Bill Beaney at Middlebury.

Under Rolli's direction, the Corsairs have qualified for ECAC/MASCAC post season tournaments in each of his 27 seasons, winning ECAC Championships nine times. UMass Dartmouth teams led by Coach Rolli clinched ECAC titles in 1985, 1989, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2006, 2007, and 2008.

A six-time New England Hockey Writers' Coach of the Year (1989, 1993, 1996, 2005, 2006, and 2007) and four-time ECAC Coach of the Year (1996, 2005, 2006, and 2007) Rolli was one of 12 finalists for the 1999, 2005, 2006, and 2007 Eddie Jeremiah Award/NCAA Division III Coach of the Year and was runner-up for the award in 2006, given annually to the College Division Coach of the Year by the American College Hockey Coaches Association.
