Three Earn Little East Conference Post-Season Lax Honors
Three members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's lacrosse team have earned Little East Conference post-season honors. Senior midfielder Christian Roberto (Wakefield, MA/Malden Catholic HS), sophomore attacker Adam Niden (Walpole, MA/Walpole HS) and sophomore goalkeeper Nick Thayer (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford HS) were named second team All-Conference.

Men's Lacrosse Downed at Eastern Connecticut, 14-5
Host Eastern Connecticut State scored the first seven goals of the game and went on to defeat the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's lacrosse team, 14-5, in the semi-finals of the Little East Conference Tournament at the Mansfield Outdoor Sports Complex Thursday evening.

Freshman attacker Riley Baxter (Groton, MA/Groton-Dunstable HS) and sophomore midfielder Justin Lawless (Quincy, MA/Archbishop Williams HS) each scored four goals as the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's lacrosse team defeated visiting Southern Maine, 11-6, in the quarter-final round of the Little East Conference Tournament at Cressy Field Tuesday evening.

Men's Lacrosse Outscored at Eastern Connecticut, 16-11
Host Eastern Connecticut State outscored the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's lacrosse team in the second quarter, 7-2, built a 10-5 halftime lead, and went on to defeat the Corsairs, 16-11, in their Little East Conference match at the Mansfield Outdoor Sports Complex Wednesday evening.

Men's Lacrosse Held Off by UMass Boston, 12-10
NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Goalkeeper Anthony Fitti made 20 saves and host UMass Boston outscored the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's lacrosse team in the second half, 6-4, and held on for a 12-10 victory in their Little East Conference match at the Clark Athletic Center Saturday. Donny Delpha scored twice in the third quarter as the Beacons outscored the Corsairs, 4-2. Another goal by Delpha and one by Cam Hanlon allowed UMB to take a 12-9 lead with 7:44 remaining. Sophomore midfielder Steve Tarpey (Worcester, MA/Shrewsbury HS) scored for the Corsairs with 3:59 left, but they couldn't narrow the gap any further. Freshman attacker Connor Gaffney (Andover, MA/Andover HS) scored twice and senior midfielder Christian Roberto (Wakefield, MA/Malden Catholic HS) scored once for UMass Dartmouth in the first quarter, which ended even at 3-3. Senior midfielder Nick Brett (Loudon, NH/Merrimack Valley HS/AIC), Roberto and sophomore attacker Adam Niden (Walpole, MA/Walpole HS) scored in the second quarter, and the game was tied at halftime, 6-6. Brett scored with 11:01 left in the third quarter before the Beacons scored three consecutive goals to take the lead for good. Roberto had three goals for UMass Dartmouth, while Brett and Gaffney scored twice each. Delpha had four goals for UMass Boston, while Nate Staples and Dominic Fichara each scored twice. "They played 60 minutes of lacrosse and we didn't," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Kevin Mahoney/ "We did not do a good job across the board. We didn't take advantage of our opportunities, UMass Boston had a nice game plan, their goalie had a good day, and we just didn't play well. We didn't execute what we needed to, and we did not do a good job overall." The Corsairs outshot the Beacons, 50-33. Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Thayer (Chelmsford MA/Chelmsford HS) made 10 saves for UMass Dartmouth. UMass Dartmouth dropped to 8-2 and 2-1 in the Little East Conference with the defeat, while UMass Boston improved to 2-8 and 1-2 in the LEC with the victory. Corsairs Picked Third in LEC Men's Lacrosse Race
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish third in the Little East Conference this spring. The Corsairs received 47 points, six points more than fourth place Western Connecticut State and five behind second-place Eastern Connecticut State. Keene State was picked to finish first, and received 63 points and seven of the eight first place votes, with Eastern Connecticut receiving the other.
