DARTMOUTH, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Dartmouth senior Anthony Gallo (Bridgewater, Mass.) put in the final two scores to help the Corsairs erase a two-goal Norwich lead in the fourth quarter, rallying to a 9-8 win over the Cadets at Cressy Field on Sunday.

How it Happened
UMass Dartmouth freshman Donovan Prozinski (Ashland, Mass.) posted a game-high five points to facilitate the Corsairs offense, and Gallo potted a career-high three goals, all coming in the final quarter to cap off the comeback. On the defensive end, senior goalkeeper Matt LaFond (Bridgewater, Mass.) tied a career-high with 19 saves, while junior Matt Daly (Chelmsford, Mass.) caused a pair of turnovers.
Norwich's Ian Kennedy (Gloucester, Mass.) propelled the Cadets with three goals and added an assist. Josh Jenkins (Centennial, Colo.) tacked on three points to the Cadets score line and goalkeeper Ian Kriger (Burlington, Mass.) tallied 12 saves on the full game.
The visitors controlled the pace of play, shutting out the Corsairs in the first period and extending the lead to 3-0 before UMass Dartmouth got on the board to open up the second. Freshman Tom Donahue (Gloucester, Mass.) found the back of the net for UMass Dartmouth, before Prozinski cut the Norwich lead down to one four minutes into the quarter.
Kennedy struck once more to extend the Cadet lead to three, before Sean Peters (Medway, Mass.) potted his second goal of the campaign to send the Corsairs into the break down a pair.
Coming out the intermission, both squads traded goals until the momentum switched in full favor of UMass Dartmouth. Early in the fourth, Gallo fired a shot from the left side to cut the hosts within one. Aidan Moulton (Danvers, Mass.) upped the lead back to two at 11:04, but a penalty knocked Norwich down a man for two minutes. The Corsairs were able to capitalize on the opportunity, as Mike Rizzo (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Gallo knotted the score at 8-8 during the man-advantage.
The defensive battle ended as Gallo scored once more to give the Corsairs their first lead of the game with 6:27 remaining in regulation. UMass Dartmouth was able to seal the victory, maintaining possession for the final three minutes of the contest.

- Norwich controlled the faceoffs, winning 14-of-21 in the game, with UMass Dartmouth capitalizing on 2-of-3 man-up chances to Norwich's 1-of-5 performance.
