Solomon Earns Little East Conference Offensive Honors

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA--Freshman forward Alief Solomon (Framingham, MA/Framingham HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team has been honored by the Little East Conference.

Solomon has been named LEC Offensive Player of the Week. It's the second time this season that he has been so honored.

Solomon led UMass Dartmouth with two goals and one assist for five points last week. He scored two goals, including the game-winning goal, as the Corsairs defeated Rhode Island College Saturday, 4-1.

"Alief deserves the award," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Henry Almeida. "He has really worked hard to get to this point, and he has continued to get better all season. I have to give him a lot of credit; he is always working to put himself in the best possible position."

The Corsairs are 7-2 and 3-0 in the LEC and will host Roger Williams Thursday.
