Men's Soccer Drops Late 1-0 Little East Decision At Keene State

KEENE, N.H. --  Freshman Wesley McIntosh’s (Bedford, N.H.) goal with 5:04 remaining proved to be the game-winner that lifted Keene State to a 1-0 Little East Conference men’s soccer victory over UMass Dartmouth Thursday evening at the Owl Athletic Complex.

The two squads locked up in a scoreless battle until McIntosh converted a pass from sophomore Emmanuel Smith (Concord, N.H.) on the deciding tally for the host Owls (5-3, 2-0 LEC), and freshman Anthony Pasciuto (Abington, Mass.) made that stand up by making one save in net to earn the shutout triumph.  Sophomore Jacob Castro (Swansea, Mass.) suffered the tough-luck setback by making four stops in goal for the visiting Corsairs (0-7-1, 0-2-1 LEC), as Keene State outshot UMass Dartmouth by a 15-3 margin overall (5-1 on goal) and took nine of the 10 corner kicks in the contest.

UMass Dartmouth hosts UMass Boston in a Little East Conference clash on Saturday afternoon at Cressy Field beginning at 3:00 pm, while Keene State heads to Providence, R.I. on Saturday afternoon for a Little East match-up with Rhode Island College that begins at 1:00 pm.
