PITTSBURGH, PA-Senior Craig Johnson (Acushnet, MA/New Bedford HS) had a good day as the final swimmer in action for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's swimming team on the third and final day of competition at the three-day Eastern College Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Pittsburgh's Trees Pool Sunday.
Johnson finished 28th in the 100 yard freestyle with his personal best mark, 48.28 seconds. He also participated in the time trials in the 200 yard butterfly and finished in 1:58.95, breaking the school record.
"We had a great, great weekend," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Cathy Motta. "Craig Johnson had a personal best, and broke the school record in the time trials. We are really excited about this weekend's meet."
The championships marked the final action of the season for the Corsairs.
