The other UMass Dartmouth victory came when Parker defeated Mike Sarrazin at number two singles, 6-1, 6-1.
"After we won the doubles, I thought we had a good chance to win, but we didn't play as well in singles as we did in doubles," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Tom Mendell. "We still have some work to do."
UMass Dartmouth dropped to 3-1 and 0-1 in the Little East Conference with the defeat, while Southern Maine improved to 2-3 and 1-0 in LEC play with the defeat.
