Two Corsairs Earn LEC Weekly Tennis Honors

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Two members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's men's tennis team have been honored by the Little East Conference.
Sophomore Karsten Rathlev (Winchester, MA/Winchester HS) has been named LEC Men's Player of the Week, while freshman Matt Bejtlich (Rochester, MA/Moses Brown HS) has been named LEC Rookie Player of the Week.
Rathlev went 6-0 at number one singles and number one doubles last week, helping the Corsairs to victories against UMass Boston, Johnson & Wales and Southern Maine. Bejtlich was 5-0 last week, going 2-0 at number four singles and 3-0 at number two doubles. Both Rathlev and Bejtlich are undefeated this season.
"I was pleased with Karsten and Matt, who are still undefeated," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Tom Mendell. "Both of them are playing very well."
The Corsairs are 6-0 and 3-0 in the Little East Conference. They will return to action when they host Rhode Island College Tuesday.
