  • 24 Corsairs Earn LEC Academic Honors

    The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth has placed 24 student-athletes on the 2012-13 Little East Conference Spring All-Academic Team. The team includes student-athletes who competed on teams during the spring season, and were sophomores or better with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or better. The team included student-athletes in the spring sports sponsored by the LEC.

    The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s track and field teams have earned national academic honors. Both the men's team and the women's team have been named Division III All-Academic teams by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Last Saturday, all Jones' hard work paid off when he finished second at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships at the New Balance Armory in New York with a jump of 6-9 3/4, breaking the school record and qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships.
