BOSTON, Mass. –The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's indoor track and field team took third place at the Tuft University Invitational on Saturday at the Gantcher Field House.
The Corsairs tallied up 88 points, finishing behind first place Tufts University (125) and second place Amherst College (101).
In the 200 meter dash sophomore Brandon Jarousky (Attleboro, Mass.) defeated the field with a time of 23.12 and qualified for the New England DIII meet on Feb. 22. Senior Zachary Switaj (Tamworth, N.H.) edged out Connecticut College sophomore Niall Williams to take the top honor in the one mile event with a time of 4:26.81.
The UMass Dartmouth 4 X 200 meter relay team comprised of Treaver Korli (Brockton, Mass.), Harrison Ogbewe (Randolph, Mass.), Kestine Okoro (Boston, Mass.) and Steven Roy (Northborough, Mass.) finished the event with a second place time of 1:38.69.
The Corsairs return to action on Saturday, Jan. 25 when they compete in the MIT Invitational.
