"I'm happy with the result," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Steve Gardiner. "I'm glad we didn't have rain or lightning like we had in the past, we had the biggest field we have had in several years, and we had our best performance so far this spring. It was great to see Linee Mello-Frost break the school record in the 100 meter hurdles. She now has the school record both indoors and outdoors, and this is her best outdoor season since she's been at UMass Dartmouth. Shannon Singletary has now had two good meets in a row. On the guys' side, Corey Sleep goes unrecognized, but he had a nice day. Tom Barry and John Bettencourt did a nice job going 1-2 in the javelin, and both Corey Sleep and Hymlaire Lamisere qualified for D3 New Englands in two events. It was a nice improvement for us from our first two meets."
The Corsairs will return to action when they visit Connecticut College next Saturday.
