UMass Dartmouth Finishes in 20th at NCAA Regional

GORHAM, Maine –The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's cross country team competed in the NCAA Northeast Regional meet on Saturday afternoon. 

The top individual finisher was Connecticut College senior Michael LeDuc, who completed the eight –kilometer course in 24:21.03. 

Williams College (77) took first place after narrowly defeating Middlebury College (78). The Massachusetts Institute of Technology came in third place with a score of 113 points. 

UMass Dartmouth generated a score of 594 points, placing them in 20th place between Roger Williams University (19th) and Clark University (21st).

Senior Zach Switaj (Tamworth, N.H.) was the first Corsair to cross the finish line. Switaj placed in 61st and ran the course in 26:07.54. Sophomore Michael Vaz (Dartmouth, Mass.) finished the course with a 118th placed time of 27:02.94, while classmate Andrew Goncalves (New Bedford, Mass.) finished seven seconds behind Vaz in 124th place.
