Field Hockey To Take On 19-Match Slate In Mello-Frost's Fourth Season

After earning the program’s second Little East Conference post-season berth in the last three years, enthusiasm is running high for the UMass Dartmouth field hockey program, as fourth-year Head Coach Linee Mello-Frost ‘11 looks to build on that momentum during a 19-match schedule this fall.

Mello-Frost, a Corsair Hall of Famer and one of the most decorated student-athletes in school history, leads her squad into action on Saturday, September 1st with a non-league clash at MIT that begins at Noon EDT, and UMass Dartmouth opens its home slate on Thursday, September 6th by entertaining Roger Williams in a non-league outing at Cressy Field beginning at 7:00 pm EDT.

The Corsairs will also host Wellesley in a non-league home contest while welcoming Little East Conference rivals Keene State, Westfield State, Southern Maine, Castleton, Plymouth State and Worcester State to the South Coast for league clashes, and UMass Dartmouth will venture to Babson, Lasell, Johnson & Wales and Clark in non-conference play.  Additionally, Mello-Frost’s crew will pay Little East visits to Eastern Connecticut, Framingham State, Western Connecticut, Fitchburg State, Bridgewater State and Salem State.
