NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA- Junior forward Stephanie Kinchla (Falmouth, MA/Falmouth HS/Quinnipiac) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's field hockey team has earned yet another post-season honor.
Kinchla has been named an Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Region first team All-Star.
Kinchla was one of four forwards and eleven players named to the first team. The ECAC honored 22 players, and she was one of four Little East Conference players to receive honors. Kinchla led the Corsairs this season with 22 goals and 49 points, and was previously named first team All-Little East Conference and first team All-Region.
"I am very proud to coach Stephanie, as she has truly made a name for herself here in our program," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Nicole Castonguay. "She is a big game player and always wants more from herself, which is why she succeeds at this level, and at the moments we need her the most. Stephanie has a great sense of the game and always has a great read on the ball as well as her teammates around her. They made great things happen, I truly enjoyed watching them form their unique team chemistry this season, and I expect bigger and better things for the upcoming season."
UMass Dartmouth finished with a 15-7 record, won the LEC Tournament and advanced to the first round of the NCAA Championships.
