NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Junior goalkeeper Angelina Donovan (Medford, MA/Medford HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's lacrosse has been honored by the Little East Conference,
Donovan has been named LEC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Donovan made seven saves while allowing three goals as the Corsairs defeated Massachusetts Maritime, 13-3, in their only other action last week. She posted a goals against average of 3.00, a save percentage of .700 and made five saves in the second half against the Bucs.
"Angel's confidence is really growing and it is helping her performance," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Sarah Booker. "She is developing into a more technical goalkeeper and it is helping her come up with more 50-50 balls and make more saves."
The Corsairs are 2-2 and will return to action when they meet Connecticut College Wednesday evening at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL.
