Women's Lax Supports Seton Hill
NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's lacrosse team is supporting a movement among numerous lacrosse teams across the nation to show support for the Seton Hill women's lacrosse team, which recently was the victim of a tragic accident.
The Corsairs and their opponent in Florida tonight, Western New England, will wear maroon and gold ribbons in support of the movement entitled Play 4 Seton Hill. Maroon and gold are the colors of the Griffins.
Last Saturday, the Griffins' team bus was involved in an accident on the way to a game at Millersville, and Head Coach Kristina Quigley and the bus driver were killed.
"Tonight our team will be wearing red and gold in support of the tragic accident sustained by the Seton Hill women's lacrosse ream," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Sarah Booker. "Along with Western New England University, we will be supporting the Seton Hill team and all of those who were close to Coach Quigley. Our thoughts are with our lacrosse family at this time."
The Corsairs and Western New England are schedule to play tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL.
