Little East Conference Honors Two for Women's Lacrosse

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Two members of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's lacrosse team have been honored by the Little East Conference.
Senior midfielder Stephanie Kinchla (Falmouth, MA/Falmouth HS/Quinnipiac) was named LEC Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman attacker Taylor Corsano (Bourne, MA/Bourne HS) was named LEC Rookie of the Week.
Kinchla, who earned copious field hockey honors during her three-year UMD career, scored 10 goals and added four assists for 14 points to lead the Corsairs in goals last week. She scored four goals and added an assist against Framingham State, and added four more goals against Salve Regina. Corsano led UMD with 18 points last week on eight goals and 10 assists while adding five ground balls and three caused turnovers. She scored four goals and added four assists against Framingham State and added three goals and an assist against Salve Regina.
"This is Stephanie's first year with us, and she is our leading scorer," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Jerry Jennings. "She was All-Conference in field hockey, and has made the transition back to lacrosse very successfully. We're pleased to have her on the team. She's very effective, and she's a great team person. We knew Taylor was an outstanding high school player at Bourne, and we were very pleased that she came to UMass Dartmouth. She's doing very well, and we expect her to continue to do so."
The Corsairs will return to action when they visit Eastern Connecticut Tuesday.
