NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's lacrosse team will make their 10th consecutive post-season appearance when they visit Eastern Connecticut State Tuesday afternoon in a Little East Conference quarter-final playoff match. Game time at the ECSU Outdoor Sports Complex is set for 4:30 p.m.

The Corsairs have lost their last seven games against the Warriors since a 14-10 win April 15, 2004.

UMass Dartmouth enters the playoffs as the sixth seed, with a 4-9 overall record and a 1-5 Little East Conference mark. ECSU is the third seed after finishing in a three-way tie for first place. The Warriors are 7-9 overall and 5-1 in LEC play. Eastern Connecticut won 17-2 at ECSU and April 27th and has defeated UMD seven times in succession since the Corsairs won, 14-10 April 15, 2004.

"We hope to give a good account of ourselves when we go to Eastern Tuesday," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Jerry Jennings. "We will be trying to make the best of what has turned out to be a disappointing season because of injuries, and we are hopeful that it will be a very competitive game."

The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to meet second-seeded Plymouth State Thursday afternoon.
