NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-For the second consecutive season, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's soccer team has been picked to finish fifth in the annual Little East Conference pre-season poll.
The Corsairs received 32 points in the poll, 10 points behind fourth-place Keene State, and 10 points ahead of sixth-place Southern Maine.

Western Connecticut State and Keene State were next with 45 and 42 points, respectively. Plymouth State and Rhode Island College tied for seventh with 16 points each.
"Being chosen fifth in the pre-season poll puts us exactly where we finished in 2012," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Nicole Hanewich. "We have come a long way in just a few years, and we hope to continue to improve with our roster of established returners and newcomers. We are looking forward to proving ourselves amongst a conference of talented teams."
The Corsairs finished 11-5-2 last year, advancing to the quarter-finals of the LEC playoffs. UMass Dartmouth will open their season at home against Johnson & Wales on Saturday, August 31st.
