Assistant Coach Raul Reis, who is in hissecond year as a member of the UMass Dartmouth staff, has a wealth of experience coaching women's soccer at various levels. Reis joined the Corsairs after serving as the head girls' soccer coach at Case High School for 15 years. While at Case, Reis led the Cardinals to several state tournament appearances, advancing to the semi-finals on several occasions. Also a veteran of the professional coaching ranks, Reis has coached some of the best female soccer players in the world.
Between 2003 and 2009, he was the head coach of the Massachusetts Stingers of the Women's Professional League, coaching several outstanding performers, including Kerry Connors and Erica Iverson-Turner (both of whom played for the United States national team), as well as Emily Feeney and Sara Overgang. He also has coached the Noreaster Academica Club for the last seven years. Reis earned a National Soccer Coaches Association of America national diploma with distinction, andattended an advanced national courselast winter.
