WESTON, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's swimming team swept host Regis at the Regis College Pool Sunday. The UMD men won, 90-54, and the women prevailed, 112-79.
For the women, sophomore Kim Moore (Billerica, MA/Billerica HS) won the 1000 yard freestyle in 11:25.44 and the 500 yard freestyle in 5:39.03, senior Kathleen Foley (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill HS) won the 200 yard freestyle in 2:12.68, freshman Maggie Conlon (Methuen, MA/Methuen HS) won the 200 yard individual medley in 2:25.94, freshman Cecelia Rius (Rockville, MD/Richard Montgomery HS) won a pair of one-meter diving events with scores of 151.00 and 194.50, freshman Morgan Cooper (Sunderland, MA/Frontier Regional HS) won the 100 yard butterfly in 1:04.02, and junior Lindsay Little (Danvers, MA/Danvers HS) took the 100 yard freestyle in 1:01.29.
For the men, junior Joe Krzystofik (Chicopee, MA/Chicopee HS) won the 1000 yard freestyle in 11:48.09 and the 100 yard butterfly in 1:01.80, senior Andrew Adams (Palmer, MA/Palmer HS) won the 200 yard freestyle in 2:01.48, junior Craig Johnson (Acushnet, MA/New Bedford HS) took the 200 yard individual medley in 2:12.49, freshman Nate O'Keefe (Taunton, MA/Coyle-Cassidy HS) captured the one meter diving with a score of 167.20, freshman Chris Dodge (Holden, MA/ Wachusett Regional HS) won the 100 yard backstroke in 1:00.93, and freshman Brandon Riendeau (Lakeville, MA/Apponequet HS) won the other one meter diving competition with 207.35 points.
UMass Dartmouth's men are now 3-1, while the women are 4-4. The Pride men are 4-7 and the women are 2-10.
The Corsairs will return to action when they host WPI Thursday evening.
