NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's women's swimming team lost to Eastern Connecticut State University by a score of 137-90 at the Tripp Athletic Center Wednesday evening.

The UMass Dartmouth women won four events. Sophomore Danielle Sanko (Leicester, MA/Leicester HS) was the star of the night for the Corsairs. She won both the one and three meter dives, with scores of 191.40 and 208.28.

Junior Kathleen Foley (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill HS) was victorious in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.64. Freshman Kim Moore (Billerica, MA/Billerica HS) took first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:49.40.

"We had some good swims and some seasonal best times," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Cathy Motta. "Unfortunately, we had two swimmers who were ill tonight who could have contributed significantly to the meet. We're hoping that resting them will pay off at the Little East Conference Championships this Saturday."

The Corsair women are now 0-6, while the Warriors improved to 4-0. Both teams will compete in the Little East Championships at the Tripp Athletic Center on Saturday at 11.
