WALTHAM, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's swimming team fell to powerful Bentley in a dual meet at the Dana Center Monday afternoon.
The Corsair women fell to the Falcons, 159-111, while the men lost to Bentley, 162-124.
For the women, freshman Kim Moore (Billerica, MA/Billerica HS) won the 1000 yard freestyle in 11:59.09. On the men's side, sophomore Craig Johnson (Acushnet, MA/New Bedford HS) was first in the 100 yard butterfly in 56.24 seconds.
"We swam a little tired today, and we were missing a few people, due to illness," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Cathy Motta. "We have been swimming double sessions every day. Now, we'll start to get ready for New Englands."
The Corsair women fell to 2-7, while the men dropped to 2-4. Bentley's women improved to 6-3, while the men improved to 4-3. The men will return to action when they host Regis Saturday, while the women will compete again in January 29th, when they host WPI.
