"It was a difficult meet, the team swam a little flat today," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Cathy Motta. "We did have several good swims. The men are in a rebuilding year, with many swimmers swimming events they haven't swam before. We need to focus this week to prepare for Bridgewater on Tuesday night."
The UMD women dropped to 0-2, while UNE's women improved to 2-0. The men's match will not count in the Corsairs' record, because UNE is a club team.
UMass Dartmouth will return to action when they visit Bridgewater State Tuesday evening.
