"We were down at third doubles, and we really came back and put it together," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Ralph Perry. "After Liz Cignoli dropped the first set in her singles match, it didn't look good, but we she came back strong in the second and third sets. Our team performed very well against a good Emmanuel team today. We were tested, and I was pleased with our performance."
The Corsairs improved to 2-0 with the victory, while Emmanuel dropped to 1-2 with the defeat. UMass Dartmouth will return to action when they host Newbury Thursday. The Saints will visit Clark Tuesday.
