"It was a close match, and it could have gone either way," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Ralph Perry. "Rhode Island College is a solid team, and we had to play our best to come out on top. I was very impressed with the way we played. Hannah Schulze played a very solid singles match to defeat Chelsea Brown and clinch the win for us."

The Corsairs improved to 5-0 and 2-0 in the Little East Conference with the victory, while RIC dropped to 2-5 and 1-1 in LEC play with the defeat. UMass Dartmouth will return to action when they visit UMass Boston Saturday.  RIC will visit Worcester State Saturday.
