    Women's Tennis Receives 2014 ITA All-Academic Team Award SKILLMAN, N.J. -- The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's tennis team received the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award. In addition, six Corsairs were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. The ITA announced its 2014 All-Academic Teams on July 10.

Freshman Katelyn Capone (Abington, MA/Abington HS) was named to the all-conference first team at No. 6 singles, while the team of senior Nicole Pelletier (Swansea, MA/Case HS) and junior Hannah Schulze (Chelmsford, MA/Chelmsford HS) were chosen at No. 1 doubles.

Kayleigh Holt joins the Corsairs from the successful tennis program at Somerset-Berkley Regional High School, where she assisted her father, Blue Raiders' girls' tennis Head Coach Peter Holt, for the past several seasons.

The Corsairs received two first place votes and 74 points in the poll, three points behind first-place Bridgewater State, which received the other seven first place votes. The predicted finish ties UMD's highest placing ever in the LEC pre-season poll.
