DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Corsairs secured their second victory in three days on Thursday afternoon, taking eight matches before darkness fell to wrap up an 8-0 win over Eastern Nazarene.

How it Happened
The No. 3 doubles duo of Samantha Rollings (Tiverton, R.I.) and Kheyla Orival (Woburn, Mass.) set the pace from the get-go, taking the first point of the match 8-1. Sophomore Jenna Lahaie (Lakeville, Mass.) and senior Jillian Reichert (Marion, Mass.) prevailed 8-4 at the top flight, and Mollie McCaffrey (Taunton, Mass.) and Jaime Fastino (Rehoboth, Mass.) clinched the doubles sweep with a 9-7 edge of Lion duo Lindsey Steelman (Darlington, Md.) and Julie Sutton (Middletown, Conn.) at No. 2. McCaffrey and Fastino broke serve in their last two opportunities to seize the win.
In singles, Rollings made quick work of Veronica Jimenez (Lynn, Mass.) at No. 4 by a 6-1, 6-1 score. Reichert then clinched the match, winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6. Also prevailing was junior Molina Oung (Bourne, Mass.) at No. 5, 6-2, 6-0 and Fastino at No. 3 in a pair of 6-2 sets. Lahaie wrapped up the final competition in three sets, 6-4, 5-7 and 10-7 as McCaffrey's match was halted due to darkness.
Inside the Numbers
- UMass Dartmouth's doubles sweep marked the Corsairs' second-straight and third such sweep of this season.
- Rollings and Orival won their third straight match at #3 doubles while Lahaie and Reichert won their second-straight match in the top flight.
- Oung improved to 8-1 overall (4-1 at No. 5 singles after starting 4-0 at No. 6)and Fastino improved to 7-3 with her third straight with at #3 singles. She is now 3-2 at No. 3 after starting 4-1 at No. 4.
