Women's Tennis Sets Sights On 11th Straight Post-Season Berth This Fall

The UMass Dartmouth women’s tennis team has its sights set on an 11th straight post-season berth this fall, as sixth-year Head Coach Doug Chapman’s squad is ready to tackle the challenges of a 15-match schedule in 2018.

Chapman, who has guided the Corsairs to five Little East Conference tournament berths as well as a spot on the 2015 NCAA Division III championship field, will see his team open the new season on Saturday, September 1st with a league clash at Plymouth State that begins at 1:00 pm EDT.  UMass Dartmouth opens its home slate on Saturday, September 8th with an LEC encounter against Southern Maine beginning at 1:00 pm EDT, and Chapman’s crew will also entertain Curry and Clark in non-league play to go with home conference contests against Rhode Island College, Salem State, Bridgewater State and UMass Boston.

The Corsairs will play non-league matches at Johnson & Wales, Saint Joseph (Conn.), Lesley and Suffolk this fall, and UMass Dartmouth will also head to Worcester State, Western Connecticut and Castleton for Little East road tests.
