MEDFORD, MA- Sophomore Jermai Harrison (Brockton, MA/Brockton HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's track and field team finished 10th in the shot put at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships at the Gantcher Family Sports and Convocation Center at Tufts University Friday.
Harrison finished with a toss of 38 feet, seven inches. She fouled on one attempt that would have broken the school record had it counted.
"We're pleased with Jermai's performance," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Steve Gardiner. "Obviously, she would have liked to have made the last throw, when she came out of the circle on the left side. Jermai had a very good season, breaking the school record several times. Her performance gives us a good idea of what she can do down the road, and we're looking forward to the outdoor season."
The competition was the final action of the season for the UMass Dartmouth indoor track and field team.
