The UMass Dartmouth volleyball team is looking to build upon the success it achieved during the 2017 campaign, as the Corsairs will take on a 27-match regular season slate under the guidance of second year Head Coach Samantha Amaral this fall.
UMass Dartmouth opens the new year on Saturday, September 1st by heading to Hartford, Conn. for a non-league tri-match with Bay Path and host Saint Joseph (Conn.) at 1:00 pm EDT, and the Corsairs will open their home schedule the following Saturday (September 8th) with non-league tri-match competition against Lesley and Salem State at the Tripp Center beginning at Noon EDT.
Amaral, who led UMass Dartmouth to 11 overall victories last season, will see her squad take on Elms, Simmons, Babson, Colby-Sawyer, the University of New England, Emerson and Emmanuel in home non-league play, and the Corsairs will entertain Rhode Island College, Eastern Connecticut, Castleton and UMass Boston in Little East Conference action.
In addition to the season-opening trip, UMass Dartmouth will tangle with Maine Maritime, Becker, Mount St. Vincent, Bridgewater State, Maine-Presque Isle, Worcester State, Salve Regina and Eastern Connecticut (non-conference) in both neutral site and road tests, and the Corsairs will visit Southern Maine, Western Connecticut, Keene State and Plymouth State for Little East contests.
