Against Cobleskill, senior middle blocker Cami Ascher (Natick, MA/Natick HS) led the Corsairs with 10 kills and four blocks, while senior outside hitter Allie Mastrocola (Swansea, MA/Case HS) added six kills, and junior setter Jess Goncalves (New Bedford, MA/New Bedford HS) had 23 assists.
“We had our best performance so far in terms of serve receive,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Steve DeRossi. “Our play was significantly better than it was on Tuesday. It was good to get a couple of wins, and get the chance to look at some people at different positions.”

"Once we got past the first couple of minutes, we were fine," said DeRossi. "Our first seven points were as a result of their errors, and then we turned it around. For the first time this season, we played everyone, and it was nice to see our new people come off the bench and make a contribution."
In the other first day matches, Mount Ida defeated Eastern Nazarene, 25-21, 24-26, 25-22 and 25-21; Framingham defeated Mount Ida, 25-15, 25-22, 15-25 and 23-19 and then downed Salem State, 25-17, 25-10, 25-18; and Eastern Nazarene defeated SUNY Cobleskill, 25-10, 20-25, 25-17 and 25-21.
UMD improved to 3-1 with their sweep, SUNY Cobleskill fell to 2-4,
