Volleyball Sets "Dig Pink" Match

Oct. 20, 2010

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's volleyball team will be in the pink when they host Wentworth in a non-conference match at the Tripp Athletic Center Thursday evening.

The Corsairs will stage their second annual "Dig Pink" match. Dig Pink matches are held during the month of October to support research for breast cancer. Last year, the Corsairs donated \$255 to the American Cancer Society after raising money at their "Dig Pink" match.

"We will have Dig Pink warm-ups that have numbers on them that the players have purchased," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Steve DeRossi. "They're also going to sell items at the match, accept donations, and have a raffle, with the money being donated to the American Cancer Society."

Thursday's match begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Tripp Athletic Center.
