"Both teams did well," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Jon Hird. "We had topflight competition this week, and we rose to the challenge. We had a great top three effort from our men, with Nick Santoro, Derek Stevens and Kevin Gilmore, but our fourth and fifth guys, Eric Nygaard and Steve Burke, are getting closer to our top three. Nick now has the ninth best mark on our course, Derek moved up to 11th and Kevin is now 13th."
"For the women, Dekontee had one of the races of the day, as did Megan Bohigian," Hird continued. "Dekontee moved up to seventh on our all-time list, and Megan is now 20th and ran one of the best races of her career at UMass Dartmouth. Brittany Lyons ran faster than she did last week, Kelci Sullivan continues to improve, and Courtney Testa, whose goal was to break 20 minutes, ran exactly 20 minutes. The women did a good job moving up, and made a significant improvement this year."
The Corsairs will return to action when they travel to the Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park in Boston next Saturday.
