"For being without two of our top runners today senior Derek Stevens (Swampscott, MA/Swampscott HS) and junior Meaghan Bohigian (Barre, MA/Quabbin Regional HS), I thought we held together well," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Jon Hird. "We were running against the region's best teams from Divisions I, II and III. For the women, Dekontee ran very well, Courtney ran much better than she did two weeks ago, and Kelci ran well. Nick ran his usual race, Eric ran his best race of the year, Steve Burke ran well, and Wes Meserve stepped up into the top five. In a race like this, that's all you can ask."
The Corsairs will return to action when they travel to Connecticut College next Saturday.
