Academics and Athletics at UMass Dartmouth

The UMass Dartmouth Athletic Department takes great pride in the academic success of its student-athletes.  As an NCAA Division III institution, the UMass Dartmouth campus endorses the concept of the student-athlete and is committed to the academic as well as athletic develpment of student athletes. 

Each semester student athletes are recognized for their academic success.  The campus and the Athletic Department recognized academic accomplishment with two honors.  The Chancellor's List designation is awarded to students who have achieved a 3.8 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 grading scale for a semester. Students who have achieved a 3.2 to a 3.8 grade point average are placed on the Dean's List.

Below is a complilation of the academic success of our student-athletes dating from the Spring 1999 semester through the present.  The graph below includes the total number of atheltes who have been honored and the total number of teams (from our total of 25 teams) which are represented on the list.
